On Saturday 16 May, we will be holding a special event at the Lazkaoko Beneditarren Fundazioa. The bookbinder and artist’s book expert Luis Barrios will give a talk entitled “Who invented books and how?”, accompanied by pianist Mario Telenti. Prior to the talk, we will take a guided tour of the Lazkao Benedictine Library led by its director, Juan José Agirre.
- 10.30 am: guided tour of the Lazkao Benedictine Library (Juan José Agirre), in Basque and Spanish,.
- 11.30 am: talk and musical performance “Who invented books and how?” (Luis Barrios and Mario Telenti), in Spanish.
This event is a follow-up to the X Gipuzkoa Artist’s Book Encounters held in autumn 2025; the talk and tour had been scheduled for 15 November but they were cancelled.
